From Crafting a Bookshelf to Riveting a New Aircraft: Build-a-Plane Adventure, Part 2
Glasair Aviation isn’t just selling its kit-plane program to folks who’ve always wanted to build a plane-it’s for those who never knew they wanted to build one. Our DIY flier isn’t exactly sure which one he is, but he can’t pass up the chance to build an airplane in two weeks.
Packing Up, Taking Off: Build-a-Plane Adventure, Part 4
After helping to build his team’s own plane, our DIY flier takes to the skies, ready to explore the mountains and valleys of British Columbia and the Yukon, probably visiting places that few people, if any, have ever stood. The first big test? Landing on blacktop.

Last Day in the Shop: Build-a-Plane Adventure, Part 3
There’s no quit from anyone as our DIY flier and Co. thread the wiring, upgrade the engine and rig the fuselage for their kit plane before it hits the northern skies. It’s tough work, but the bosses will hold closed-door sit-downs with customers who get too fond of a break.
